I Objectives

The objectives of this discipline are as follows:

(1) To develop a rigorous attitude toward research and foster a truth-seeking academic atmosphere;

(2) To be familiar with the basic theories and contemporary development of religious studies, have a solid foundation of religious philosophy and a wide range of knowledge;

(3) To cultivate strong abilities of doing scientific research and making innovations and able to make creative achievements in the field of religion;

(4) To be proficient in one or two foreign languages, and excellent in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating.
